But first, let me spin you a yarn from the banner ad trenches. Picture this: It’s 2015, and I’m working on a campaign for a client who sells… wait for it… gourmet cat food. (Yes, that’s a thing. No, I don’t know why cats need foie gras in their kibble, but here we are.) We crafted what we thought was the perfect banner ad.
