What
is the philosophy behind your business?
We focus on providing cost-effective
services for a variety of satellite missions. That means keeping
an eye on industry trends while hammering out the day-to-day
details of operations and infrastructure expansion. We have
to listen to our customers and their plans, as well as ask
lots of questions, to ensure that we understand their objectives
and requirements and can anticipate future needs. We also
have to roll up our sleeves and dig in to convert those needs
into actions.
Why
do important missions outsource their TT&C services?
TT&C service providers with large
networks like USN provide their customers a number of very
compelling advantages over building dedicated TT&C infrastructure,
including:
- Much lower life cycle cost
- Lower upfront cost
- Lower ground segment technical and
implementation risk
- Access to many more ground stations
at a lower cost
- Higher operational reliability due
to the larger number of ground stations
- 24/7 operations support
- Flexible ground infrastructure
How
do you sell your services?
USN sells our TT&C services on a
fee-for-service basis. Customers typically pay for each scheduled
contact made between their satellite and our ground station
network. We refer to this as a “contact” or “pass.”
A customer only pays for the passes they use.
Prior to satellite launch, USN provides integration and test
services on either a fixed-price or cost-plus basis, depending
on the needs of the customer.
How is
USN service distinguished from competitors?
USN is the network of choice for many
key industry leaders, both in government and commercial markets.
We offer depth of engineering expertise coupled with fast,
flexible and responsive processes. Our proven mission-critical
operations and solutions are enhanced by global alliances
with strategic partners who bring additional capabilities

problems is unique to us. We are absolutely committed to creating
results that count.
Are you
hiring?

What
does the future hold for USN?

effectiveness of our solutions. The result is repeat business
and a growing demand for USN quality. We believe our progressive
approach is the future of outsourced operations and TT&C
services. We will continue to grow with the market and provide
